The Centre for Modelling & Simulation (CFMS), a specialist in high value design capability today announced that it has awarded the contract for the refresh of its high performance computing (HPC) storage system to ArcaStream, a provider of bespoke scale-out storage and data management solutions.
Having recently procured a new 5600-core Dell HPC cluster to benefit research users in areas including bioinformatics, speech processing, particle physics, material physics, chemistry, cosmology, medical imaging and psychiatry, the University of Edinburgh called upon ArcaStream to design and implement a storage solution to drive it.
Earlier in the year we ran the first of our customer training sessions at our new technical facility near Sheffield. The sessions were deemed such a success by our customers that we have decided to hold a number of these sessions throughout the year.
